Voor een borrel zetten we de 5 statafels neer en serveren we een selectie van heerlijke alcoholische en non-alcoholische dranken. Daarbij horen sfeervolle borrelplanken en huisgemaakte of gefrituurde hapjes. De ruimte is warm en gezellig, vaak met kaarslicht, waardoor je in een goede sfeer en met een glimlach naar huis gaat.

Different layouts for corporate drinks receptions

For a drink’s reception, a layout with high tables is the most usual. The high tables are spread around the space and everyone can move freely. Depending on the size of the group, canapés are presented on one or on several tables and offered by our host serving people gathering.

The right facilities

For a drinks reception at De Nieuwe Ruimte we serve a range of boards with cheeses, homemade and/or fried canapés, nuts and fruits. There’s a generous choice of hot and cold drinks. Candles create a warm atmosphere. The lighting can be dimmed, and there are sun-shading screens on the outside of the windows that can dim the daylight.

Every month we serve different homemade canapés. Among the fried canapés you can choose from a range of mini snacks. The snack boards are thought out according to the season, think of a mix of different cheeses and fruit. The chef’s mood decides!

How to reach the venue

De Nieuwe Ruimte is centrally located between the Waterlooplein and the Nieuwmarkt, on a quiet, wide street opposite Gassan Diamonds. The venue is excellently served by public transport: one metro stop from Amsterdam Central Station and three stops from Amstel Station. Besides we can easily be reached by tram and bus. If you’re coming by car, there are four public car parks within a five-minute walk.

Frequently asked questions

Can you help us organize a corporate drinks reception?
Yes, we can. We’d love to hear your drinks preferences. We can purchase special drinks. Let us know your catering wishes. We can serve homemade canapés, fried canapés, or put together boards with various snacks. The one thing we don’t help with is sending out invitations.
Yes, we have a range of alcoholic drinks, such as wine and beer. If you have other wishes, just let us know!
The garden is entirely at your disposal, free of charge. In good weather you can sit on a bench or at a table. There’s an ashtray too.
Amsterdam regulations mean we can run until 22:00 at the latest. We mustn’t disturb the neighbors at the backside of the garden and house. We will quietly clean everything up then.
